Research Analyst, Middle East Upstream
Alan started in the oil and gas industry in 2005 as a M/LWD engineer with Schlumberger. After three years he transitioned to Directional Drilling, working in the North Sea. In 2011 he joined Baker Hughes on an international contract, working in Turkey and Israel before returning to support the European region. His final rotation was in Saudi Arabia.
Returning to academia in 2017, Alan graduated with distinction from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh with a MSc in Petroleum Engineering.
Alan joined Wood Mackenzie in late 2018. He is responsible for updating and maintaining economic models and analytical reports for Iran and the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
